Authentic, atmospheric dike house for maximum 8 people, with garden, modernized while retaining original elements. The cottage is in a small village, 2.5 km from the beautiful and quite coast. It had a beautiful polder view at the front side, the garden at the back side of the house is surrounded by trees and hedges. In clear weather you can see the large ships sailing the Westerschelde. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, where a maximum of 8 people can sleep, and a bathroom. Downstairs there is a fourth bedroom, the master bedroom for 2 persons, with its own bathroom. A third bathroom is located on the ground floor. The distance from our house to the beach is 2.5 km. Bicycles can possibly be rented in the village. This cottage is only rented per week (7 nights), midweek (4 nights from Monday to Friday) or weekend (Friday to Monday). The minimum stay is 3 nights. The possible arrival days are Friday (for the whole week or the long weekend) or Monday (for the midweek or week).
We are a Dutch family, with roots in Zeeland, that loves to come over for the weekend and holidays, to enjoy the beach and the polders with its dikes and dunes. Last year we became the proud owner of this house which we have been renovating and modernizing during the whole year. We would like to welcome you there and hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we use to do.
Apart from the beach with all kinds of possibilities for water sports, the nature reserves and the polder landscape with countless roads and dykes where you can walk and cycle endlessly, you can also enjoy many small villages with their own unique character in West-Zeeuwland. There is Breskens, a fishing village, Groede and Cadzand, with authentic 19th century village centers and the shopping villages of Sluis and Oostburg. But don't forget to visit the beautiful Flemish hinterland, with historic cities such as Bruges and Damme, the nightlife city of Knokke and further on Antwerp and Ghent, with many sights, nightlife options, museums and shops.
