Welcome aboard our beautiful hotel and cruise ship Aurora! Aboard AURORA guests will stay on a luxurious barge situated right next to the famous Nolet windmill in a picturesque town of Schiedam on the outskirts of Rotterdam. The property offers a free wi-fi internet access and there is also a free parking next to the site. The guest rooms are all spacious, elegantly furnished with antique furniture and they all offer a river view. Bedrooms feature king size comfortable beds, the air-conditioning, a CD player, a wardrobe and an en suite bathroom fitted with toiletries, hairdryer, slippers, bathrobe and a great shower. There is a shared lounge area with a comfortable sofa, armchairs and a fireplace as well as a small refrigerator available for the guests' storage and use. For an extra charges there is a well stocked bar so one can enjoy their favourite drink and relax on the upper deck. Continental breakfast ( which is included in the price) features a range of hot drinks, fruit juice, fruit salad, jams, fresh bread and pastries, ham and cheese, as well as the eggs on order. It can be enjoyed either alfresco on the outside covered terrace or in the main salon area.

I have been working and managing the ship for more than a decade now. I am a big animal lover and enjoy art in many forms. I really love travelling, meeting new people and learning about their cultures, customs and traditions. Fell in love with photography years ago. I speak English, Slovak, Czech, a little German and French and trying to understand Dutch right now :)

Schiedam is well know for plenty of its distilleries and we are situated right next to the famous Nolet distillery in a very peaceful setting within easy reach of Rotterdam centre -just 200m away from the Maas river. Guests can enjoy a walk around the old centre of Schiedam and admire the architecture and the old harbour with its many historic ships. Delfshaven (from which the Pilgrim Fathers departed centuries ago) is only 10 minutes away by car and the city of Rotterdam can also be reached within a 10min water-taxi ride for a mere 5,50euro p.per. (located just 150m away from us). There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in our neighbourhood - from quick take-aways to more traditional ones. Delft (famous for its Royal Blue pottery) is only 25min and 16km away, Hoek van Holland ( North Sea and the beaches) is 30min and 25km away, Den Haag (the capital) is 30min and 23km away, Gouda (Mecca of Cheese) is 35 min and 28km away, Leiden (Rembrandt birthplace) is 45min and 38km, Utrecht is 60min and 70km away, Dordrecht (oldest town in NL) is 35min and 35km away and Amsterdam Central Station (80km away) is reached in 40min (16euro ride) - by car it takes about 90min.
